About this work

Strip of natural-coloured appliqué lace, needle lace applied to machine-made tulle, point d'Angleterre. The inner part is widely scattered with bead-flower sprigs. The border with running design shows a thin and whimsical winding sprig turned to the left with pointed leaves. Below this is a rocaille with lattice work. Flat shells of links, campanes and leaves.
