About this work

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Binche lace. On a lattice ground, a five-hole ground, stands a spiral branch adorned with feathered leaves. A large tulip, in which a split branch with two small flowers and a small bunch of grapes alternate. The motifs are made in linen stitch and net stitch with openwork edges. As an ornamental ground, a snowflake ground is sparingly applied. The top and bottom of the strip are finished straight, with the bottom provided with picots.
