About this work

Neck slip of natural-coloured appliqué lace, bobbin lace applied on machine-made net. The rectangular field is decorated with widely scattered sprigs, from which various flowers grow. At the ends stands each time a thin stem with a large, openwork palm flower, rising from a triangular 'mound', the sides of which are composed of chain bands and medallions. In the transverse borders stands a bow; the long borders consist of flat shells of chain bands, rosettes and long tying tendrils.
