Strip of Appliqué Lace with Imperial Crown and Iris

Strip of natural-colored appliqué lace: needle lace - Brussels mesh lace - applied on machine-made tulle. At the bottom run two borders. The inner and widest consists of a running, flat S-scroll, which is crossed by a stem directed to the right with an upright imperial crown, two hanging irises and two hyacinths. The outer, ornamental border consists of palmettes, under pointed arches, alternated with a standing branch. The outside is straight ended by an eyelet border. A scatter pattern of hanging bellflowers fills the machine-made tulle ground above the borders.
