Apron or veil of appliqué lace with whirlpools

Tablecloth or veil of natural-coloured appliqué lace, bobbin lace on drochel ground. Below an open, sown pattern of 'triangles' stand filled edges. The lower one has a lying motif, closed by two straight inter-seams. The upper edge, with standing motifs and wider than the lower edge, cuts across the field with pointed, rising motifs. The lower edge shows rotating vines around a core of small oval medallions. The inter-seams consist of spirals turned pairwise. The upper edge has two alternating candelabra motifs; one stands on two large reed plumes, the other shows an X-vine, crowned with a smaller plume. The bottom is finished straight with an eyelet edge, the top with a slit for a cord.
