About this work

Apron of fine cotton with white embroidery, belonging to Frisian costume. Along three sides a scalloped edge, at the top a slit. The hand embroidery is tambour work, edge stitch and drawn thread work. The pattern consists of flower bouquets, in narrow bands along the sides and in wide bands along the bottom; the middle is scattered with small leaves.
