About this work

On a coarse trellis ground (a Mechelen ground or ice ground) stands a symmetrical pattern of two turned away, hanging vines, which, in pairs, now stand above a low flowerpot, then again touch the straight outer edge and there enclose a meshwork medallion. On the inner side stand two kinds of halved cross-flowers. Both the vines and the cross-flowers surround some parties filled with meshwork. Mechelen lace.
