About this work

Flounce of natural-colored appliqué lace, bobbin lace applied on machine-made tulle. A quarter of the ground is empty, a quarter is scattered with moresques and the outer half is decorated with a symmetrical pattern. V-shaped twigs, ending with inward and outward volutes, spring from a leaf rosette in the fairly straight outer edge. This rosette forms with a rose and twigs bending left and right with bows the scallops.
