In the middle, Christ hangs on a frontal cross between obliquely placed crosses with both naked murderers. In the front left, Mary faints, assisted by St John and a holy woman. Behind them a boy with a dagger, two riders to the right and one to the left, and a foot soldier. In the front right stand two soldiers, one holding a shield and the other pointing upward with his right hand and holding his dagger with his left. Behind them a rider to the left, followed by a foot soldier with a shield. In the middle, Mary Magdalene embraces the cross. The background shows a hilly landscape with buildings and vegetation. Riders and foot soldiers are in pseudo-Roman costume; two wear a lion's head as a headdress. On the shield the initials F.N.F.14 II.
