About this work

Folding fan with a leaf of painted silk, featuring three cartouches with different scenes. The cartouches are edged with vines, around which are ornate leafy tendrils in gold paint. In the left part, a boy with barrels; in the middle, five ladies in the foreground, one of whom has a child by the hand, and a man with a bunch of grapes in his hands. Handle of mother-of-pearl with a gilded image of putti along the edges and four people in a cartouche. Stored in a custom-made wooden case with a glass plate and a lock.
