About this work

A mirror set with a velvet theater decoration is in the lid. On the lid and sides a decoration of vines of copper and mother-of-pearl, painted with red lacquer. In the two corners copper figures in the form of a goddess. Interior lined with green velvet. No key. Contents: five round crystal flacons, three square scent flacons, an ink flacon, a toothbrush flacon and two rectangular flacons, all provided with a gilded silver lid with garland decorations and fluted edges; first tray with mother-of-pearl scissors, two shoe hooks and pocket knife with tortoiseshell handles, gilded tweezers and file, mother-of-pearl cigarette pipe; second tray with a gold pair of scissors, needle case, awl, letter opener, pen; two flacons and two brushes.
