About this work

Stoneware jug on a high foot with a globular body and a narrow neck with a pinched spout. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck and foot. Floral scrolls with incised stems and embossed and applied flowers on the belly. A tin mount with lid attached to the handle. Marked inside the lid with a putto and an illegible inscription. Westerwald.
