About this work
Stoneware jug on a ring foot with a pear-shaped body and wide neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. On the belly, an incised rosette surrounded by large, flowering plants. Part of the flowers and leaves consist of impressed zigzag lines (knibis). Attached to the handle is a tin mount with a lid. Inside the lid marked 'I.D.K.'. Westerwald.
