Stoneware jug on a foot with a cylindrical body, rounded shoulder and narrow neck with a pinched spout. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck, shoulder and belly. The belly is covered with horizontally incised lines. In these, three times a recessed incised medallion with a printed and applied medallion in relief containing three coats of arms (the coat of arms of the Realm, the coat of arms of the Von Merlan family and the coat of arms of the city of Nuremberg) and the date '1596'. Just above the foot a stamped band with leaf motifs. On the neck in relief a mask. Attached to the handle a tin mount with lid. On the lid the mark 'M + S'. Siegburg.
