About this work
Stoneware jug on a base with an egg-shaped body and narrow neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profile on the neck. The body is covered with throwing rings. On the belly, in relief, three stamped and applied medallions. In the center, a depiction of the Fall of Man, with Adam, Eve, and God in Paradise. On either side of this, a medallion with stylized oak vines. Attached to the handle, a tin mount with a lid. Marked with a flower on the inside of the lid. Siegburg.
