About this work
Jug of stoneware on a ring foot with a globular body and a long, narrow neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. On the neck a profile and incised lines. Partially covered with cobalt blue. On the body three times a printed and applied coat of arms in relief with the inscription '1687'. Twice a lion in relief between the three coats of arms. On the shoulder above an incised line a band with stamped flowers cut out in a blue background. Attached to the handle is a tin mount with a lid. On the inside of the lid a stamped coat of arms with 'L.O.B.'. Westerwald.
