About this work
Stoneware jug on a foot ring with an egg-shaped belly and long, narrow neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Decorated in cobalt blue with on the neck a profile and two incised lines. On the shoulder a band with nine stamped shells against a blue background. Below that a band with seven triangles formed by six stamped lozenges each in blue with a reserved dot. Between the triangles a floral rosette. Under the handle the inscription 'I K' in blue. Westerwald.
