About this work
Jug of stoneware on a ring foot with a globular belly and narrow neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck. Partially covered with cobalt blue. On the shoulder, an incised line with above it a band with stamped stars with a flower against a blue background. The belly with three printed and applied medallions in relief, the middle one flanked by crowned lions. In the medallions a representation of the Spies of Canaan with the inscription '1647'. Westerwald.
