About this work

Stoneware jug on a ring foot with a globular body and a narrow neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck. Partially covered with cobalt blue. On the shoulder an incised line with above it a band with stamped flowers against a blue background. Below the line three half, hanging rosettes with a flower in them. A tin mount with a lid is attached to the handle. On the inside of the lid a struck mark of three crosses under a crown. Westerwald.
