About this work
Stoneware jug on a high foot with a globular body and wide neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck and foot. The belly is covered with incised decoration containing three printed and applied medallions with a lion's head in relief. Below, a small compartment with two stamped rosettes. On the neck, a band in relief with linked medallions with masks or flowers, surrounded by leafy vines. Attached to the handle, a tin mount with a lid. On the inside, a mark with the letters 'N.I'. Siegburg.
