About this work

Part of an oak wainscoting in the form of an entablature with a broad central section and wings articulated in two unequal parts. The frieze is decorated with relief-sculpted mythological scenes (The Judgment of Paris) and biblical scenes (Lot). The panels are separated by herm atlantes. Preserved with the wainscoting are two fluted half-columns with decorated shaft bases and four fluted pilasters, which date partially from a later period. From Enkhuizen.
