About this work

Collar of natural-coloured needle lace: reticella and Venetian rose lace. The collar consists of two strips sewn together and is finished with a bobbin-made edge. The outer strip (reticella) consists of ten U-shaped scallops which are pointed finished with picoted arches. The inner strip (Venetian rose lace) has a pattern of flowers and vines. The strips differ strongly in colour from each other.
