About this work

Stoneware jug on a high foot with a globular body and short, wide neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck and foot. Partially covered in cobalt blue on the glaze. The jug is decorated with a relief decoration where the belly is largely covered with printed, applied medallions with a floral rosette against a blue background. Blue lines on the neck and foot. Westerwald.
