Veil or Apron of Lace Embroidery on Machine Tulle with Floral Border Under a Scatter Motif

Veil worn on a canopy hat or an apron of a Frisian costume of natural-colored lace embroidery: Lier lace (tambour work on machine tulle). Rectangular model, with a natural-colored satin ribbon through a hem along the short upper side. The tambour work at the bottom of the veil consists of a repeating pattern with two alternating thin flower branches with fine flowers and leaves. The flower branches are symmetrical and stand upright. The slightly larger branch originates from a circular motif made with ten small circles. The slightly smaller branch originates from a small oval. Under the branches and connected to circle and oval runs a continuous pattern of garlands with ovals and bows. The flower branches are connected to each other halfway by an oval motif between two side branches. The rest of the veil is decorated with a scatter motif. The long (standing) sides are finished with a narrow border of lace embroidery: a stringing of pointed ovals.
