About this work

Stoneware jug on a ring foot with globular belly and short, wide neck. The handle is broken. Profiles on the neck and foot. Partially covered with cobalt blue. On the belly and shoulder an engraved panel decoration separated by a profile. On the shoulder the panels are alternately filled with incised decoration or a stamped floral scroll. On the neck in relief a pressed and applied band with a leaf scroll interrupted three times by a mask in a medallion. Raeren/ Westerwald.
