About this work
Jug of stoneware on a ring foot with a globular body and a short neck with a pinched spout. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck and foot. Partially covered with cobalt blue. On the belly, nine vertical bands in relief with a stamped and applied decoration of garlands, (church) towers, and crowned female figures. Except for one, the bands are placed next to each other in pairs, separated by a band with small flower rosettes in relief. Blue lines on the neck and foot. Westerwald.
