About this work

Armchair, upholstered, of white-painted walnut, resting on fluted conical legs. The round seat frame is scalloped from the front. The seat rails show a pierced swirled band above a ribbon wound around a rod. The C-shaped armrests end in a volute with an acanthus leaf and have a flower cup on the inner side; the supports are decorated with a cup chain between profiles and an acanthus leaf at the bottom. The oval back frame, on outwardly curved supports, is surrounded by a laurel wreath with a bow.
