About this work

Armchair, upholstered, of white-painted beechwood, resting on conical fluted legs, under square housings with rosettes. The square armrest supports have fluted bases, pierced braid ornament, and acanthus leaves, and support the armrests ending in a volute. The trapezoidal seat frame is curved outward. The slightly curved top rail of the back frame, decorated with a knorren border, has rounded corners; the stiles end in rosettes. Seat rails and back frame bear pierced scale ornamentation. Stamped at the bottom of the front seat rail: F.C.
