About this work
Mary stands with the left knee forward. The child, with a rosary around the neck, stands with the left leg on her right hand, while she holds it out before her with her left. His right leg is drawn up and rests on a fold of her mantle draped to the left; the arms he has before him. Mary wears on the hair, which falls partially over the shoulders forward, a wreath wound with a pearl string. Under a kirtle with rectangular neck opening a shirt, which is trimmed at the neck with passementerie; the mantle hanging from the shoulders is gathered under the elbows and draped to the right.
