Strip of bobbin lace with ovals formed by curved leaves

Strip of natural bobbin lace: Lille lace. The upper half of the strip has no pattern. The repeating pattern along the lower half consists of two curved leaves that together form a broken oval with a small flower in the center. This flower is attached to the upper leaf. Hanging from the lower leaf are five small flowers, which form a fan-shaped shell. The motifs are placed close together, with the flowers at the bottom merging into each other. The motifs are connected by a fine lattice ground, a tulle ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch with large cutouts and with thicker, shiny contour threads. The top of the strip is finished straight. The shells along the lower side are finished with picots.
