Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Binche lace. The repeating and continuous pattern consists of a wave formed by heart-shaped leaves, which flow into a flower stem with at the end a five-lobed flower with a drop-shaped heart. The motifs are connected by a lattice ground, a five-hole ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges and net stitch fillings. Various spaces are filled with an ornamental ground, a snowflake ground. Also one or several snowflakes are used in the leaves, petals and hearts. The shells along the underside come from the pattern and are finished with picots. The upper side is finished straight.
