Strip of bobbin lace with straight band of double V-shaped branches

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Mechelen lace. Under a sprinkling pattern of six rows of circles, along the underside of the strip is a straight band with lying, double V-shaped branches. The motifs are connected to each other by a fine mesh ground, a Mechelen ground. The sparse solid work is made in linen stitch with thicker and shiny contour threads. The upper side is finished with a separately bobbin-edged band. The underside of the strip is finished straight and provided with picots.
