About this work
Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, old Flemish lace. The repeating and continuous pattern consists of a curved stem with a cup-shaped flower at the end and at the beginning a plume-shaped leaf that splits off in the opposite direction and forms a kind of rectangle with rounded corners. The motifs are connected by a lattice ground, a five-hole ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges. The top and bottom are finished straight, with the bottom provided with picots.
