Strip of bobbin lace with vases and flaming flowers

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: pot lace. The repeating and symmetrical pattern consists of two types of vases. Both vases have a foot, middle section, top and handles, but with different shapes and one vase is wider than the other. From the handles of the wider vase a flower in the shape of a flame springs on both sides, with below the stem a smaller and downward bending rosette flower. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges and openings. The motifs are connected to each other by a Paris ground. In the center of the flaming flowers an ornamental ground is applied, a snowflake ground. All sides of the strip are cut straight and not finished.
