Strip of bobbin lace with four pointed ovals in the corners of a diamond

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, strap lace. Due to the limited length of the strip the whole pattern is not visible. The visible pattern consists of a band in net stitch, which forms the contours of a rhombus. In the rhombus stands in each corner a pointed oval. The pointed ovals are connected with overlapping pairs to each other and to the perimeter of the rhombus. On the outside of the rhombus per side two pointed ovals are connected, which are intact wholly or partially. They are partly connected to each other by a trellis ground, a lace-hole trellis. The top side of the strip is finished straight. Running along the underside is a shallow shell border, which is formed by an ornamental band of arches in linen stitch which are coupled to each other with a lace-hole trellis.
