About this work

Insert of natural bobbin lace: collar lace. The repeating pattern consists of a regularly wavy line in linen stitch. The waves form U-shaped fields. Below the wave peaks are two diamonds placed one above the other in net stitch; the wave peak touches the straight decorative band along the top of the strip. In the wave valleys a decorative ground is applied that forms square blocks. The top and bottom of the strip are finished straight, both with a bobbin-made decorative band with a square grid.
