About this work
Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: loop lace. The repeating pattern consists of a regularly wavy line in linen stitch. The waves form U-shaped fields. Under the wave peak stand two placed one below the other squares in net stitch, the wave peak touches the straight ornamental band along the top edge of the strip. Under the wave valleys hang fan-shaped shells. In the wave valleys an ornamental ground is applied which forms square blocks. The top edge of the strip is straight finished.
