About this work
Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: stropkant. The repeating pattern consists of two parallel running zigzag bands with a center line of linked fine diamonds made in form stitch. Hanging from the underside of the strip directly below each zigzag peak is a fan-shaped motif. The linked fans form the shell edge. A strop lattice ground is applied to the upper side of the strip and a twisted cross-stitch ground is applied between the zigzag bands. Pointed ovals are in the grounds. The upper side of the strip is finished straight.
