About this work
Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, tape lace. The repeating pattern consists of a flat division of four rows of diamonds pushed against each other, with a pointed oval in each diamond in the top row. In the row below, the diamonds are filled with a lattice ground, a cross-stitch ground with cutouts. These two rows repeat downwards. Above the diamond pattern a tape lattice ground is applied. The upper side of the strip is finished straight. Along the lower row of diamonds runs a band in net stitch, with which a rounded shell is formed under each diamond.
