Strip of needle lace with wavy, curling vine and various flowers

Strip of natural-colored needle lace: Venetian rose lace. The pattern consists of a wavy vine with curling flower stems and leaves. Attached to the vine are many different larger and smaller flowers. The motifs are made with festoon stitches. By applying twists in the festoon stitches, fine openwork is created that forms line patterns and diamond patterns in, among others, the petals and leaves. Relief contours run along all motifs and around the flower hearts and edges of the curling leaves, thickenings with cords are formed, which are decorated with wheel picots. The motifs are connected by picoted bars. The top side of the strip is finished straight. The bottom side is finished with a small arch edge.
