Plate with St. Christopher carrying the Child

In the flat of the bowl, which has the center point in the middle, stamped with die-forms: a depiction of St. Christopher with the Child, taken from the Legenda Aurea, and a round border of scrolling work with leaves and a flower on a hatched background (repeated seven times). St. Christopher, using a tree trunk as a staff, wades through a river and has the Christ Child on his shoulders. In the wall, fish bladders are chased. Furthermore, a stamped ornament has been applied on the rim, consisting of leaves and cross-flowers. The rim is wrapped around an iron wire. The hanging ring at the back and the hole in the rim were added later. The center point has become a small opening.
