About this work
In the flat of the bowl, which has the center point in the middle, stamped with die-forms: a Renaissance vase with lid decorated with knobs, which is held up by a male and a female herm, as well as the inscription DER IN FRID GEHWAHRT applied four times on a hatched background. Furthermore, along the rim, which is wrapped around an iron wire, a stamped ornament of cross-flowers has been applied. The hanging ring at the back and the hole in the rim were added later.
