About this work

Porcelain cup with cylindrical body and C-shaped handle, painted on the glaze in blue, pink, black, and gold. The outer wall features five decorative bands, including floral scrolls on a cream, pink, or white background. The bands are interrupted at the front by a medallion with a rebus. Gilded rim and handle.
