About this work

Strip of natural-colored lace embroidery: cutwork with a scalloped edge of needle lace, punto in aria. The repeating, symmetrical pattern consists of a goblet flower or crown between mirrored and elongated S-scrolls. The goblet flower is alternately inverted. The upper side of the strip is finished with a narrow drawn-thread band.
