About this work
Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Old Flemish lace. The shells from which the strip is built are semicircular with irregularly shaped edges. The shells originate from a repeating symmetrical motif of a flowerpot with thistle. Relative to the straight top edge the flowerpot hangs upside down. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges. In the cutouts at various places pointed oval leaves are made in shape stitch.
