About this work
Strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace, Parisian lace. Between a row of openwork buttonholes just above the center line of the strip and the shells along the lower side runs a winding ribbon. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground, a Parisian ground. The motifs are made with thick threads. The upper side of the strip is finished straight. The shells are finished with picots.
