About this work

Stoneware jug on a high foot with a globular belly and narrow neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Some incised lines on the foot and neck. Partially covered with horizontal bands in cobalt blue and manganese purple. On the belly, a relief decoration with a printed and applied medallion with a floral rosette. Stylized leaf motifs around the medallion. Westerwald.
