Chest of cornelian wood

Chest of cornelian wood, resting on the front on blackened wooden ball feet and lined with ebony on an oak core. On the front, side, and top surfaces are fields within ebony frames with depictions, drawn with pen and thick ink, from the Old Testament, surrounded by festoons, flowers, and acanthus vines, on the front panel combined with hunting scenes. Around the keyhole are grouped allegorical figures. As a background for the depictions, sunk ground with hatching.
