About this work

Scarf of a fine natural-colored gauze-like fabric. At both ends a strip of natural-colored needle lace, Venice flat. Lace pattern with richly branched curling vines with small flowers on an irregular open ground with one-sided picoted spindles. Filling with twisted festoon stitches containing various motifs through cutouts. The upper side is edged with a border of bobbin lace. The underside is finished with a straight picot edge with arches. The lace strip is glued onto the scarf.
