About this work
Strip of natural-colored mixed lace: Venetian ribbon lace. Pattern of broken scroll vines, with whimsically shaped flowers and leaves on an irregular, open bar ground. The contours of the pattern are formed by a woven ribbon. Various decorative grounds within the contours. The upper and lower sides are edged with a straight border.
